So lately I have been feeling rather let down and disappointed by my chemistry.com experience. They keep matching me with unattractive, unappealing men! Maybe my standards are just too high? I dunno .... And to make matters worse, I was watching Fox News this morning at the gym and the hosts were talking with a dating/online dating specialist. He named the best 2 online dating sites and worst 2. I'm sure you can guess which site he named as one of the worst 2. I must say I'm not all that surprised. Here's the link if anyone is interested in checking it out: http://www.foxnews.com/search-results/m/29001806/looking-for-love-on-the-internet.htm#q=dating
I'm jealous of you 2 match girls, I wish I could wink at people and browse through nearly unlimited profiles. I think I'm going to expand my efforts into the non-online dating realm. Speed dating? Would any of you local ladies be interested in giving it a shot with me? Think about it, it's only a 3 minute conversation with multiple men and we'd have each other there for support and laughs. Maybe 3 is the magic number, like how we set a 3 date minimum to decide if the guy has relationship potential. The 3 minute conversation could indicate if a guy has first date potential. Plus, you get "free appetizers" at most of them. Incentive? I think so. Who's with me??

I'm not sure if I'm local (where are you?!) but YES, Chemistry, I would love to speed date, let's do it! Scheduling can be a challenge with me, but we should know in advance, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteDon't be hopeless, I haven't been on one interwebs date--I'm actually kinda chicken about it. I might need L.Lo to be in the background for support!
Don't let this damn v-day week get you down; love stinks.
Find us some speed dating!! Yess!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel too jealous...the whole looking through profiles is very intimidating. Not to mention it makes you have to figure out what you want, which is hard. I would love for the computer to do the matching and have questions ready for me to ask! I spose we all want what we can't have, right?
ReplyDeleteAnother quick note, I've found that online dating has some serious mood swings. I'll have a lot of prospects for awhile, then none, then back to a lot...etc. So hang in there, you might a a bunch of good ones coming soon. And in total lifetime movie mode...it only takes one!
As for speed dating....DO IT! I vote we open up this comeptition a little. Not to any date, but dates found via unconventional/preprogrammed methods (online, speed dating and the likes). "Real world" dates still don't count though. Thoughts?
I suppose Frat Boys are "conventional"?
ReplyDeleteyes, frat boys are "conventional" we've all been there, done that!
ReplyDeletelol, MatchGirl, lol. eggs are egg and entertainment is entertainment. right?
ReplyDeleteVeda, if you're in an area close to L.Lo then you're close to me! I'll browse info on speed dating and let you and L.Lo know what i find. i'm sure we can work around your schedule. i'm excited for this!!
ReplyDeleteMatchGirl, i second your vote to opening up this competition. it's about time we spiced things up!
